Buenos Aires, November 30 (NA) – The Encuentro Foundation revealed the Average Order Reach Coefficient (APP), a new indicator that seeks to visualize the economic effort involved in working for delivery platforms.
The absence of objective metrics hampers the diagnosis of the purchasing power of a sector composed mainly of young people and migrants. According to Noticias Argentinas, this indicator translates the cost of life into the most representative unit of measurement for the sector: the trip made.
The APP is considered essential because, unlike other sectors, there are no reference parameters for salaries or conditions on delivery platforms. The average order value (without tips) was $2,553.6 (average between Rappi and PedidosYa).
The APP is complemented by a series of measurements that quantify the cost of living in the repartidor's transactional unit:
- Sustaining a Household (4 people): 461 orders
- Average Rent in CABA: 271 orders
- Raising a Child: 190 orders
- Minimum Living Wage (SMVyM): 126 orders
- Food Basket (individual): 67 orders
- Monotax (Cat. F): 13 orders
Filling a Gas Tank: 2 orders.
The first result is conclusive: in September 2025, a repartidor had to complete an average of 461 orders to cover the Total Basic Basket for a four-person household and not fall into poverty.
The APP aims to make transparent that the repartidor's available income (which covers fuel, maintenance, and mobile data costs) depends on factors beyond their control, such as demand, weather, and platform algorithms.
